This gold is charactarised by an undulatory leaf (resultant from tectonic deformation within the vein) highlighted by cube octahedral crystals twinned off the main leaf. Small quartz crystals on the matrix compliment the gold.

This large single cube of galena with small octahedral modifications at the corners is perched on a small tab of octahedral galena with dolomite and chalcopyrite. The label lists this as St Joseph Lead District but it is almost certainly Sweetwater Mine.
