Poonah, India
small cabinet - 8.1 x 5.7 x 4.0 cm
$ 100.00 DISCOUNTED 35.00% OFF TO $ 65.00

Normally I don't get to excited about an apophyllite from India, however this piece must have been one of the earlier specimens to reach the US market. It was at one time sold by Schortmann's, has been in the Karabachic Collection, and also the Art Montgomergy Collection.

DZ1909 - Bournonite
Viboras Mine, Potosi Dept., Bolivia
miniature - 4.8 x 3.1 x 2.9 cm
$ 500.00 DISCOUNTED 35.00% OFF TO $ 325.00

Classic cogwheel twinning. The bottom surface looks a little rough, but on close inspection it is terminated all the way through. The rough texture is likely due to growth inhibition from the pyrite matrix.

DZ5302 - Beryl var. Aquamarine
Minas Gerais, Brazil
miniature - 4.5 x 4.5 x 4.4 cm
$ 2000.00

A highly etched, gemmy aquamarine crystal with a really unusual hole at the top that must be the result of some form of growth inhibition. It has an unusual shape, yet it is all crystallized.

Doi Ty Mine, Thuong Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam
miniature - 3.9 x 1.5 x 1.2 cm
$ 4500.00

Aquamarines from Vietnam are perhaps my favorite of all localities due to the deeply saturated blue color. This is an exceptonal example from the locality.

Panasqueira Mine, Barroca Grande, Beira Baxia, Portugal
miniature - 4.6 x 3.6 x 2.8 cm
$ 1250.00

A nice association piece with blue apatite, quartz, siderite, and arsenopyrite. Typical of apatites from this location, the color of the crystal is a presentation of lighting and can grade from a greyish blue to a greenish.
