ML00550 - Pyrargyrite
San Genardo Mine, Castrovirreña Province, Huancavelica, Peru
thumbnail - 2.9 x 2.6 x 1.4 cm
$ 425.00

Here is a nice pyrargyrite with an interesting paragenesis. Large pyrargyrite crystals with a second generation of tiny pyrargyrite on the surface serves as a matrix for larger, well formed and lustrous crystals. All of this sits on a matrix of tiny quartz and barite crystals. The specimen has a nice reddish tint, with bright red color when backlit.
