DZ1501 - Silver
Dzhezkazgan, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan
small cabinet - 5.8 x 3.3 x 2.2 cm
$ 2000.00 DISCOUNTED 35.00% OFF TO $ 1300.00 SOLD

A compact mass of highly contorted silver wires with acanthite and a few tiny calcite crystals. The thing I like about this specimen is the natural habit of the wires, as opposed to the silvers that have been to the "hair dressers" like you see so frequently on the market these days.

Poonah, India
small cabinet - 8.1 x 5.7 x 4.0 cm

Normally I don't get to excited about an apophyllite from India, however this piece must have been one of the earlier specimens to reach the US market. It was at one time sold by Schortmann's, has been in the Karabachic Collection, and also the Art Montgomergy Collection.

DZ1909 - Bournonite
Viboras Mine, Potosi Dept., Bolivia
miniature - 4.8 x 3.1 x 2.9 cm
$ AT-AUCTION

Classic cogwheel twinning. The bottom surface looks a little rough, but on close inspection it is terminated all the way through. The rough texture is likely due to growth inhibition from the pyrite matrix.
