Panasquiera is one of my favorite localities in the entire world. Greisen deposits are known to prodce some of the finest mineral specimens. Wolframites such as this were considered to be the world's best until the Yaogangxian Mine began producing about 20 years ago.

Two intersecting tabular beryl crystals perched on a muscovite matrix. The beryls are often labeled as goshenite, however, these are pale blue and could be considered aquamarine.

Crystallized copper has long been known from the Ray Mine. However, only a few select pieces of exceptionally large spinel twins have been found. The very best of these have been tied up in Arizona collections since discovery.

DZXX04 - Siderite and Dolomite
Morro Velho Mine, Nova Lime, Minas Gerais, Brazil

This is a very interesting piece with both iron carbonate and magnesium carbonate species intergrown on the same specimen. To confuse matters more, additional iron species as pyrrhotite is selectively included in and on the surface of the dolomite crystals.
