In the 1950's, specimens from the tri-state district hit the market by the ton. 80 years later good specimens are hard to come by. I like how this galena is isolated on matrix. Its interesting how isolated faces are smooth and stepped.

Well crystallized Brochantite was unhgeard of until the Maria mine production hit the market about in the last 10 years. Stout, well terminated crystals are still exceedingly rare, and this is a good example of the species.
