ML00058 - Rhodochrosite on Barite
Kalahari Manganese Fields, Northern Cape Province, South Africa
miniature - 4.9 x 2.9 x 2.8 cm
$ 1250.00

A most unusual specimen from the Kalahari. This is the only Rhodochrosite I have ever seen on a well crystalized Barite. A great association for a Kalahari collector.

ML00067 - Zoisite var. Tanzanite
Merelani Hills, Umba Valley, Lelatema Mountains, Arusha Region, Tanzania
thumbnail - 2.8 x 2.0 x 0.9 cm
$ 4000.00

I hesitate to call this specimen Tanzanite due to it lacking the defining blue color. It would be more appropriate to call this gem Zoisite. It exhibits pronounced trichroic porperties, changing in color from yellow to pink to violet when viewed from different angles.
