Here is a great example of silver from one of the most famous mines in the Americas. Chanarcillo was at its heyday in the 1850's. Although better known for the fine proustites, some great silvers were produced.

The Leonard Mine is known as the premier locality for enargite in North America. This piece is unusual in that the groups of enargite are isolated on a quartz matrix, giving better contrast. Small octohedral pyrites add to the asthetics.
