DZ4208 - Beryl var. Aquamarine
Minas Gerais, Brazil
small cabinet - 5.5 x 4.5 x 2.3 cm
SOLD
This is one of the most unusual aquamarines I have ever seen. A flat tabular crystal with etched resorption textures. It is still highly lustrous on all faces. The pinacoid surface has deeply etched lines paralleling the prism faces. It's just neat!

DZ4210 - Quartz var. Ametrine
Anahi Mine, La Gaiba mining district, Sandoval Province, Santa Cruz, Bolivia

SOLD
These Ametrine specimens are unique to the Anahi Mine. They are elongate prismatic crystals with unusual etching on the prism faces, and relatively intact pyramidal faces. With backlighting, the crystal displays its amethyst and citrine zones parallel to the c-axis. When you look down the c-axis, you see the amethyst and citrine alternate in pie shaped wedges.

DZ4209 - Opal var. Hyalite
Zacatecas, Mexico
miniature - 4.9 x 4.5 x 4.3 cm
$ 250.00 DISCOUNTED 30.00% OFF TO $ 175.00 SOLD
I love these specimens! The opal has a faint yellow green hue to it, and like most hyalite specimens, is strongly fluorescent under UV light. What sets these apart is the presence of trace amounts amounts of the Uranyl (UO2) molecule, which causes daylight fluoresence. These hit the market a few years ago, and people soon realized there was more value in them as jewlrey rather than specimens, making good pieces hard to come by.
