Anyone who has frequented Tucson over the last 20 years has seen thousands of Cinnabar specimens from China. This one is set apart from the masses by its beautiful twinning, razor sharp crystals, and very high luster. It is contrasted well on its quartz and dolomite matrix. With backlighting, the translucency shows with great red color.
